PHIVOLCS: Highest sulfur dioxide emission recorded at Taal on Oct. 5

(Eagle News) — Taal volcano emitted 25,456 tons on Tuesday, Oct. 5, the “highest ever recorded volcanic sulfur dioxide or SO2 gas flux,” according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. 4.6-magnitude quake strikes off Tawi-Tawi

(Eagle News) — A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Tawi-Tawi on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 4:51 p.m. It had its epicenter 311 kilometers southeast of South Ubian. The depth of focus was 541 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

Eleazar orders thorough probe into Bicol University blasts

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:31 a.m. It had its epicenter three kilometers northwest of Cordon. The depth of focus was one kilometer. Operations in DFA consular office in Antipolo suspended after personnel test positive for COVID-19
