Philippine Coast Guard starts building K-9 training facility, first in Southeast Asia

(Eagle News) — The Philippine Coast Guard is building a K-9 training facility, the first of its kind in the entire Southeast Asia region. 3.6-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News) — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental on Saturday, Aug. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.1-magnitude earthquake that hit Governor Generoso on Aug. 12. The quake’s epicenter was located 121 kilometers southeast of the area. The depth of focus was one kilometer. According to PHIVOLCS, the earthquake was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

DOTr inaugurates expanded Siquijor Seaport

(Eagle News) — The Department of Transportation inaugurated on Thursday, Aug. 28, the expanded and improved Siquijor Seaport as part of the government’s infrastructure development program. Over P40 million worth of marijuana destroyed in Kalinga: PNP

(Eagle News) — Over P40 million worth of marijuana plants were destroyed in Kalinga on Thursday, Aug. 26, the Philippine National Police said. (Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, Aug. 27. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:39 a.m. It had its epicenter 106 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. Jonel Nuezca found guilty of murdering neighbors in Tarlac

DFA consular office in San Nicolas to attend only to applicants with residence in Ilocos Norte for duration of MECQ

Immigration bureau: Two Korean fugitives nabbed in Boracay
