35 quakes monitored in Taal in 24 hours

(Eagle News) — A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Wednesday, July 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:26 a.m. It had its epicenter 93 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth of focus was nine kilometers. The following instrumental intensities, meanwhile, were reported: Intensity II – General Santos City; Kiamba, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Rainfall advisory raised over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News) — A rainfall advisory has been raised over parts of Northern Luzon. (Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit Southern Leyte early Tuesday, July 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 1:53 a.m. It had its epicenter 12 kilometers southwest of Silago. The depth of focus was three kilometers. PCG rescues 21 passengers of capsized motorbanca off Corregidor Island

(Eagle News) — Twenty-one passengers from a distressed vessel off Corregidor Island were rescued by authorities, the Philippine Coast Guard said on Saturday, July 17.
