(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte early Saturday, July 17. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:14 a.m. It had its epicenter 45 kilometers northwest of Santa Monica. The depth of focus was 21 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
