4.2-magnitude strikes off Surigao del Norte early Friday, June 11

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte early Friday, June 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:23 a.m. It had its epicenter 43 kilometers northeast of Burgos. The depth of focus was nine kilometers. An intensity III was reported in Burgos, Santa Monica, and San Benito, Surigao del Norte. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
