Passi City in Iloilo province under 2-week ECQ as active COVID-19 cases spike to at least 220

4.3-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Jan. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:34 a.m., had its epicenter 60 kilometers southeast of Bayabas. It had a depth of 11 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Davao de Oro governor’s office closed for 3 days after employee tests positive for COVID-19

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Wednesday, Jan. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:04 a.m. It had its epicenter 72 kilometers northeast of Baganga. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
