“Ompong” remains inside the Philippine Sea but is also far away from the country. No public storm warning has been raised in any part of the country.
Strongest storm this year
Said to be the strongest storm this year, tropical cyclone “Ompong” is placed at Category 4. Although already inside the Philippine area of responsibility, there is little chance that “Ompong” will make a landfall, according to PAGASA.
New storm may enter PAR
“Ompong” may enter the Philippine area of responsibility(PAR) tomorrow, although said storm will not make a landfall.
Expect colder days
According to PAGASA, expect colder weather as “habagat” is replaced by the “amihan”.

There’s a large possibility that the storm being monitored by PAGASA will enter the Philippine area of responsibility by the end of the week. It will be given the designation, “Neneng”.
