According to reports, China is constructing three more airstrips inside the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone in the Spratlys Island. Meanwhile, experts said airstrips will enhance the capability of China to act in the said area. China’s Defense Ministry reiterated that the construction is purely for defensive purposes.
