China donates heavy equipment for use in Marawi rehab

(Eagle News) — The Chinese government has turned over P155-million worth of equipment to the Philippines for use in the rehabilitation of Marawi.

The 47 pieces of equipment which Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said were donated “with no strings attached” were turned over to the Philippines on Tuesday.

Villar said in a television interview that China was “one of the first that really delivered tangible equipment” for that purpose.

“Siyempre marami din kaming commitments. Marami rin gustong tumulong. But China was one of the first…Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa Chinese government,” he said.
