The two presidents exchanged views on bilateral relations and discussed other issues of international and regional interest.
Xi said the China-Russia bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership is developing at a steady pace and he believes it necessary for the two leaders to hold frequent meetings in order to exchange views on bilateral relations and issues of global concern.
He said China is willing to work with Russia to push for new headways for cooperation across all fields.
The Chinese president stressed the anti-terrorism situation worldwide is currently experiencing changes in light of recent events. He said China is willing to strengthen anti-terrorism cooperation and maintain the common interests of the international community with joint efforts of involved parties including Russia.
Putin agreed with Xi’s assessment of China-Russia bilateral relations. He said as the current international situation is undergoing complex and profound changes, Russia is willing to cooperate with China in order to strengthen cooperation to fight terror while at the same time to resolutely promote the democratization of international relations.
