CHINESE Premier Li Keqiang will hold talks with President Rodrigo Duterte and other Filipino officials during his five-day official visit to the Philippines for the ASEAN and East Asia Leaders’ Summit from November 12 to 16.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying also said that both Li and Duterte would also witness the signing of documents forging cooperation in relevant areas.
Hua said political mutual trust between China and the Philippines has deepened since the improvement of the two countries’ bilateral ties last year.
Li and Duterte had their first “handshake meeting” in September last year on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit held in Vientiane, Laos.
