(Courtesy CCTV) — Chinese and Russian naval soldiers, who are taking part in the nine-day Joint Sea-2015 (II) drill, gathered at designated waters on Sunday and started the joint training.
Chinese and Russian vessels left Vladivostok on Sunday morning ahead of schedule for the relevant waters.
The order of departure was given on Saturday night in accordance with the plan of the drill and weather condition.
“The directing team gave the order at night, ahead of schedule, in accordance with weather and other conditions. The operation showed the adaptability of the two sides’ soldiers on weather condition as well as the flexibility of plan, which was adjusted. Seen from the whole situation, the coordination of the soldiers is quite good. The two sides present good capability of adjusting plan and good collaboration with each other,” said Li Xiangdong, Chief of Staff of a fleet.
The warships have been divided into several groups to carry out the joint trainings.
The two sides were set to carry out the training on Sunday night on how to defense against attacks after dropping anchor at see, the first training subject.
The Joint Sea-2015 (II) drill kicked off on July 20 and will take place in the Peter the Great Gulf, waters off the Clerk Cape, and the Sea of Japan. It is the second China-Russia naval exercise this year. (Courtesy China Central Television News)
