BEIJING, China (Reuters)– Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday chaired the Leaders’ Roundtable Summit at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing.
The summit was attended by 29 heads of state and government, and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim, and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde.
“I welcome all of you to the Yanqi Lake for the Roundtable Summit of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. It gives us a good opportunity to discuss how to promote international cooperation for win-win development,” said Xi.
The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which takes the theme “strengthening international cooperation and co-building the ‘Belt and Road’ for win-win development,” is being held from Sunday to Monday in Beijing.
