CHR, selective in probing cases – Malacañang

QUEZON City, Philippines – Malacañang criticized the Commission on Human Rights for being selective in investigating alleged human rights violations in the country.
According to Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, it is very obvious that when it is the opponent of the government that is killed, the CHR immediately investigates the case.
He said that when the victims are soldiers or policemen who died in the line of duty, the CHR does not immediately take action.
