(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in parts of the country on Friday, July 29.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zambales, Bataan, Antique, and Aklan, in particular, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA said these were due to the southwest monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas, and the low pressure area (LPA) estimated based 1,020 km east of extreme Northern Luzon.
The rest of the country, the weather bureau said, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
According to the weather bureau, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected.
PAGASA is monitoring Tropical Storm “Songda” which is so far located 1715 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.
