(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies and rains are expected in parts of the country today.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Visayas, Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the low pressure area 580 km east of Davao City.
Flashfloods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains are possible.
Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with light rains, this time due to the northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.
Ilocos Region and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
According to PAGASA, the northern and eastern section of the country will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
