(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers are expected in parts of the country today.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Central and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the the low pressure area (LPA) estimated 75 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
PAGASA said the conditions are also due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in which the LPA is embedded, affecting Palawan and Visayas..
Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwesterly Windflow affecting Mindanao, the weather bureau said.
Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
