Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL today as southwest monsoon affects W. Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies are expected in parts of the country today, June 14, as the southwest monsoon affects the western section of Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, Bataan and Palawan will also have scattered rains and thunderstorms .

Flash floods  or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, this time due to  localized thunderstorms.

The northern  and western section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
