QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — High-profile inmate Herbert Colangco will testify against Senator Leila De Lima. The convicted robbery gang leader is one of the witnesses against Senator De Lima regarding the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre identified Colangco and another man who is said to be the alleged delivery man of the drug money to the senator’s house.
Aguirre said that at least two witnesses will testify that they delivered the drug money to Senator de Lima at her house in Paranaque. Each delivery is worth P5 million, the DOJ chief said.
The witnesses would be presented during the congressional inquiry into the drug trade at the New Bilibid Prisons during the past administration.
