(Eagle News)—The barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections are officially over in all precincts nationwide, except in one barangay in Northern Samar.
The Commission on Elections made the announcement in a press conference on Monday, May 14.
According to the Comelec, it was still unclear if a failure of elections would be declared in the “far-flung” barangay.
The polling precincts except for the ones in the barangay in Northern Samar were closed around 3 p.m.
Earlier, the Philippine National Police said elections were generally “peaceful and orderly.”
