(Eagle News) — The deadline for candidates running for national posts to remove their illegal campaign materials is Thursday, Feb. 14.
According to Commission on Elections spokesperson James Jimenez, after Thursday, Comelec teams will start taking down the oversized campaign materials and those found outside of common areas.
He said the Comelec will also study what legal action to take against the erring candidates.
In a series of Tweets on Tuesday, Feb. 12, the official start of the campaign period for senatorial and party-list candidates, Jimenez called out several senatorial and party-list bets for violating Comelec rules on campaign materials.
Among those he called out were the camps of Bong Revilla, Mar Roxas, Bong Go, Sonny Angara, Jinggoy Estrada, Francis Tolentino.
He also called the attention of the Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta and Buhay, among others.
