Congress criticizes DOT due to poor tourist attendance

QUEZON City, Philippines, August 26 (Eagle News) — Several congressmen reacted against the Department of Tourism (DOT) with Buhay Party List representative Lito Atienza saying that the said department failed to achieve the target of 10 million tourist arrival with only more than 2 million tourist arrivals recorded for the year.

Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez defended that although they were not able to reach the target tourist arrival, the Department of Tourism (DOT) was able to achieve target revenues.
