QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced on Wednesday that all of its consular offices will remain open tomorrow, September 21.
President Rodrigo Duterte declared the commonly known date of the declaration of martial law the “national day of protest.”
Malacañang has declared a suspension of work in the executive branch and in local government units.
The Supreme Court has also declared work suspended in all courts nationwide on that day.
Classes in public schools and state universities and colleges are also suspended then.
The discretion to suspend classes and work in private schools and private companies, the Palace said, is left to the discretion of these institutions.
