Continuous rains bring damage to roads and bridges in Bataan, says DPWH

(Eagle News) — Bataan is still experiencing heavy rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat, which has damaged many roads and bridges in the province, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH 2nd District Engr. Ulysses Llado said that one of the bridges that were damaged was the Roman Superhighway or the Bataan Provincial Expressway.

Llado said that this was the first time that the rains have lasted for more than a month.

Meanwhile, the official said that with the help of the contractors and their effort to repair roads, they are able to ensure the safety of motorists.
