(Eagle News)– Aklan police are still looking for witnesses in Monday’s shooting of alleged drug lord Melvin Odicta and wife Meriam.
According to Region 6 Police Director Chief Supt. Jose Gentiles, the Special Investigation Task Group is pursuing the witnesses of the crime.
The gunman used a cal .45 pistol based on evidences retrieved at the crime scene.
A ballistics test would be conducted to the suspects’ firearms to determine if one of them did the shooting.
“Paraffin test will be performed to determine or rule them out as probable suspects,” Gentiles said.
Melvin sustained three gunshot wounds while Meriam got one.
The slay happened after the couple surrendered to Interior Sec. Mike Sueno due to fear for their lives.
