(Eagle News) — A court has ordered the arrest of Edgar Matobato.
A radio report said Matobato, who claimed before a Senate inquiry last year that President Rodrigo Duterte was behind the alleged Davao Death Squad, was ordered arrested by Judge Dorothy Gonzaga of Davao del Norte’s Panabo City Regional Trial Court Branch 4.
The warrant stems from the charges filed against him by the Department of Justice in January in connection with the kidnapping of alleged terrorist Sali Makdum.
Also ordered arrested was Matobato’s co-accused Sonny Custodio.
Gonzaga, the report said, recommended no bail for both Matobato and Custodio.
