Czech sci-fi icon launches anthology of short stories in the Philippines

Ondřej Neff, notable Czech writer, journalist and photographer, author of more than two dozen science fiction books, visited the Philippines to launch his short story collection in English translation.  At Uno Morato café and bookshop, the premier speculative fiction hub in Quezon City, he met with local writers and readers.

Published by Anvil Press in cooperation with the Czech Embassy, the book entitled “The Fourth Day to Eternity and Other Stories” featured four of Neff’s most iconic and highly-acclaimed short stories in the genre of speculative fiction, which elevated his stature among Czech science fiction writers in the 1980’s.

Ondřej Neff also participated in the 2015 Laláng: 6th Philippine International Literary Festival organized by National Book Development Board in Davao, where he spoke on genre writing in science fiction, horror and fantasy together with leading Philippine writers of the genre, Dean Alfar and Edgar Samar.
