(Eagle News) — Retired police general and Daanbantayan, Cebu mayor Vicente Loot denied that he was ever involved in illegal drug operations, saying that these allegations were mere black propaganda against him and his wife who had also ran for mayor before.
In an interview during the program Agila Balita of Eagle News Service, Mayor Loot said his wife was already rich even before he met her.
He said he mostly had administrative jobs as a police officer until he retired in July 2015.
He said he was mostly involved in the training of policemen, and that his work had never involved him to deal with illegal drug activities.
Loot said he would first seek an audience with Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa before talking to Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael “Mike” Sueno
