QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is planning to give six million hectares of land to farmers.
Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano said he had proposed to the peace panel of the government and the Communist Party of the Philippines – National Democratic Front to give the free agricultural land to farmers.
He said his department also aims to examine private agricultural lands that are no longer covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
