MANDALUYONG City, Philippines (Eagle News Service, August 30) – As the Iglesia Ni Cristo assembly enters its fourth day, the energy of the INC members remain high and it is expected that more will go to the said area as the INC protest the meddling of the Department of Justice in the internal affairs of the Church.
The program conducted in the stage constructed in the area continues to empower the crowd, leading them in loud chants.
Members of the SCAN International help secure the safety of the area and help in the distribution of free food for the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo plans to extend the permit regarding their assembly up to August 31, which is National Heroes’ Day – a regular holiday.
Other than EDSA, there are also other planned protest activities in other major cities all over the Philippines, including Cebu and Davao.
