De Venecia named special envoy

(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. as special envoy for inter-cultural dialogue.

De Venecia–who was peace envoy during Fidel Ramos’ administration—will hold the post from April to September 2017, Foreign Affairs spokesperson Robespierre Bolivar confirmed on Tuesday in a text to reporters.
