MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Commission on Appointments has rescheduled the confirmation hearing on the appointment of Gina Lopez as environment secretary to May 3.
Senator Manny Pacquiao, who chairs the CA’s environment committee, said that so far, they have decided to bypass Lopez’s appointment.
He said this was because the timing was off, what with the session recess due soon.
He said Lopez–who is out of the country–would be able to explain her side in the next hearing.
It was Lopez who requested the rescheduling of the confirmation hearing from March to May.
