DepEd asks schools to invite alumni instead of politicians

MANILA, Philippines – It is the belief of the Department of Education that it will be more inspirational for the graduates if schools will invite their alumni as guest speakers in their commencement ceremonies. As such, the DepEd ordered schools to not invite politicians as speakers during commencement exercises.
