DepEd reminds public schools to not force students to buy expensive school supplies

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Department of Education asks public schools to refrain obliging students to buy expensive school supplies. The DepEd added that buying branded school supplies causes budgetary constraints to families of public school students. Parents are encouraged to visit the website of the Department of Trade and Industry to view the price guide for school supplies.
