VALENZUELA City, Philippines – Senator Miriam Santiago does not have any intentions of backing down from the presidential elections despite being in the last place in the various surveys. In a forum that she attended in Valenzuela City, Senator Santiago criticized the other candidates, saying that they don’t have the right to run due to allegations of corruption and immorality, citing as example the other candidates’ early advertising campaign even before the start of the official campaign period. The senator added that voters should scrutinize the campaign expenditures of each candidate, saying that this may be a sign of corruption and an indication of the intent of said candidates who will attempt to recoup campaign costs during their term of office.
