(Eagle News)—The Department of Foreign Affairs has opened a new consular office in Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
In a statement, the DFA said the new office inaugurated on Feb. 11 “aims to serve the increasing demand for passport and the other consular services” in Zamboanga and Northern Mindanao.
Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Nick Ferrer said the new office, the 35th in the country and the eighth in Mindanao, will also provide “assistance-to-nationals services” that will allow the public to request assistance from the DFA for their distressed relatives abroad.
The new office is open from Monday to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
