MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael “Mike” Sueno assured senior police officers named by President Rodrigo Duterte as drug coddlers that they will be given due process.

Sueno said the DILG and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will validate the evidences against the police officials who have denied the accusations.

Sueno, also Chairman of NAPOLCOM en banc, said two teams have been formed to look into the allegations against five active and former police senior officers allegedly linked to illegal drug trade.

He said the DILG and the NAPOLCOM will discuss what they can do to come up with a speedy resolution of the cases.
