(Eagle News) — The Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Department of Health launched on Friday, Aug. 14, a national advocacy campaign that aims to instill discipline among citizens amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said under the “BIDA ang may Disiplina: Solusyon sa COVID-19” campaign launched in Marikina, local government units should organize Disiplina brigades in barangays to urge residents to comply with community health standards.
According to Año , the brigades should be composed of community members, including barangay tanods.
He also urged provincial, city, municipal, and barangay councils to enact ordinances that prescribe discipline to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
