In a resolution dated September 8, 2014, the Civil Service Commission approved the implementation of the four-day work week scheme in government agencies in Metro Manila.
This could be from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. From the former 8 hours of work a day, now it would be 10 hours a day.
This means that each work day would last from 8 in the morning to 7 in the evening, including lunch break. Said scheme aims to resolve the traffic problem.
The House of Representatives have been implementing the same scheme for two decades and consider it very effective.
