(Eagle News) — Several members of the Aegis Juris fraternity believed responsible for the death of University of Sto. Tomas law student Horacio Castillo III have been placed under the Bureau of Immigration’s watchlist.
The move to place Arvin R. Balag, Mhin Wei Chan, Marc Anthony Ventura, Axel Mundo Hipe, Oliver John Audrey Onofre, Joshua Joriel Macabali, Jason Adolfo Robiños, Ralph Trangia, Ranie Rafael Santiago, Danielle Hans Mattew Rodrigo, Carl Mattew Villanueva, Aeron Salientes, Marcelino Bagtang, Zimon Padro, Jose Miguel Salamat and John Paul Solano under a lookout bulletin order was upon the directive of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre himself.
Solano, Trangia, and Trangia’s father Antonio were named “primary suspects” in the death of Castillo by the Manila Police District.
The MPD said based on their investigation, Solano deliberately fed the police false information to mislead them, and attempt to cover up the crime.
Solano earlier told the police he found Castillo’s body in Barangay 133 in Balut, Tondo, over the weekend, but barangay officials disputed a body had been found there at that time in the first place, based on footage from a closed-circuit television camera in the area.
The elder Antonio, the police said, was the registered owner of the red Strada that took Castillo to the Chinese General Hospital.
Aguirre also ordered the National Bureau of Investigation to collate additional information about the subjects of the order, including their dates of birth, places of birth, latest known photographs and known aliases, among others.
He also tasked the BI to obtain all possible contact numbers of the subjects of the order from the Office of the Prosecutor and the NBI, should they attempt to leave the country.
