(Eagle News)—–A Department of Justice panel of prosecutors has ordered Dennis Sytin to answer the complaint filed against him and several others in connection with the death of his brother, businessman Dominic, and the injuries sustained by another.
Apart from Sytin, also ordered to appear before the DOJ headquarters on April 1 were Edgardo Luib and Oliver Fuentes alias Ryan Rementilla.
“You are hereby warned that failure on your part to comply with this subpoena shall be considered as a waiver on your part to present your defense/s in this preliminary investigation and the case shall be considered submitted for resolution based on complainant’s evidence only,” the panel led by Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Juan Pedro C. Navera said.
Other members of the panel were Assistant State Prosecutor Weldell P. Bendoval and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Gino Angelo P. Yanga.
Luib had linked Fuentes to the killing, and tagged Sytin as the mastermind.
The police had said the Sytin brothers had been fighting over control of the shares of the family company even before Dominic’s killing in Subic last year.
Also injured during the incident was Efren Espartero, Dominic’s driver.
Sytin has denied the allegations against him, saying he loved his brother “despite our differences.”
