(Eagle News)—-The Department of Labor and Employment said there was a need to conduct a nationwide profiling of child laborers.
According to DOLE, the profile will “serve as a basis for the provision of appropriate services and interventions necessary to remove the children from child labor.”
According to the guidelines released by DOLE, child labor refers to any economic activity done by children under 18 years of age.
Exploitation is harmful to the physical, mental, or psychological development of the child, DOLE said.
