MANILA, Philippines, August 12 (Eagle News) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) revealed that even though two years have already passed since the implementation of the “Kasambahay” Law, many employers still don’t follow said law and many domestic helpers remain unregistered in the SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-ibig.
Of the 2 million estimated domestic workers in the Philippines, only 120, 000 are registered in SSS; 24, 000 in Pag-ibig and 59, 0000 in PhilHealth since 2014.
