DOLE to issue OFW IDs next week

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Department of Labor and Employment has announced that it will start issuing Overseas Filipino Workers identification cards next week.

The OFW ID aims to expedite their’ transactions with the government, especially when they are claiming benefits.

Through the iDOLE system, OFW ID users can access their data from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The POEA said that the IDs for OFWs will only be available to those who will apply for it.

It said  those who want to apply for the ID can visit their website at www.poea.gov.ph
