(Eagle News)–Motorists should expect a “traffic slowdown” along several Metro Manila roads from May 10 to 12, the Department of Transportation said.
According to the DOTr, the slowdown is expected along the following due to the transport of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) used for the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) from the Manila Harbour Center to the MMSP’s Camp Aguinaldo Station:
- Port/ R-10 (between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.)
- C3 Road (between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.)
- 5th Avenue (between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.)
- G. Araneta Avenue (between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.)
- E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue (between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m.)
- Gilmore Avenue (between 2 a.m. and a.m.)
- Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue (between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m.)
The transport will take place from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Friday night (May 10) to Saturday morning (May 11) and from Saturday evening to Sunday morning (May 12).
“The TBM will be used in the construction of the tunnels that shall connect MMSP’s Camp Aguinaldo and Ortigas Stations,” the DOTr said.
It urged the public to take alternative routes.
