QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development gave cash-for-work to 190 families from Marawi City who evacuated to Cebu.
Through its Food Office in Central Visayas, the DSWD is cooperating with the local government of Cebu to give Php 380, 000 to the refugees.
Based on government data, there are 80,000 families who were affected by the ongoing battle between the government forces and the ISIS-ispired Maute Group in Marawi City.
