(Eagle News)–Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said Sanofi Pasteur was not yet off the hook even if it has agreed to reimburse the government for the unused bottles of Dengvaxia.
“…Talagang titingnan pa rin natin ‘yan. Pinag-aaralan natin kung meron ba silang mga ikinubling mga materyal na impormasyon o kaalaman na hindi sinabi doon sa mga nagpasya na ilungsad itong immunization program na ito nung 2012 ng dating administrasyon,” he said in an interview over dzbb.
He said the results of the inquiry to determine whether or not the deaths of 14 children were related to the anti-dengue vaccine would also come out on Monday.
Over 830,000 schoolchildren were administered Dengvaxia under the government’s national immunization program.
The vaccine was procured during the time of then-President Benigno Aquino III.
In a statement last week, Sanofi Pasteur said it would refund the government the P1.161 billion.
