(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a former beauty queen and a retired general to government posts.

Margie Moran, former wife of Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Floirendo Jr., an ally of Duterte, was designated as a member of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ board of trustees.

Her term of office will end on June 30, 2018.

Retired police director Benjamin Magalong, for his part, was appointed as a member of the board of directors of the Philippine National Oil Company.

Like Moran, his term of office will expire on June 30, based on his appointment paper dated January 4.
