(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte was seen in a facebook live video on Monday, August 20, taken by presidential assistant Bong Go, saying he was “fairly healthy,” alive and well, and “having dinner with a beautiful lady.”
“Kunan mo kaming dalawa,” Duterte said, directing his assistant Bong Bo in the FB live video he was taking.
“I have a very important visitor..I’m alive, fairly healthy and I’m having dinner with a beautiful lady from Davao. She’s Bernice.. She’s on leave from Harvard. I invited her to discuss some things along the way when she comes back.”
“Ok pa naman ako. Sabi nila comatose. How can you be comatose with a beautiful lady? Kung comatose ako, makita ko si Bernice talagang babangon ako,” he said.
Duterte even chided communist party leader Joma Sison who first posted on his facebook page that the President has gone into coma since Sunday, August 19.
The President said it was Sison who is sick, and is frequently in a hospital in Netherlands “abusing the hospitality” of the government there.
“Ikaw yung comatose. Ikaw yung may sakit. Alam mo sa tototo lang nag-complain na rin ang Netherlands kasi labas pasok ka sa hospital. Di ka naman nagbabayad (You are the one in coma. You are the one who is sick. To tell you the truth, Netherlands is already complaining because you are in and out of the hospital, and yet you are not paying),” he said addressing Sison, a former teacher.
“You are not paying and you are abusing the hospitality of Netherlands. If you think that you are sick, come home and I will bring you to a place. It’s called Bilibid. Pero doon we provide you space, a bed and plenty of company,” Duterte said.
He also has this wish for Sison: to live a thousand years.
“Joma, ang wish ko sa buhay, kahit wala kang silbi sa buhay na ito, mabuhay ka pa ng mga 1,000 years. Para ikot na lang ng ikot dito sa mundo,” Jom (Joma, my wish for you — even if you don’t have any use in this life — is that you live for about 1,000 years… so you will just roam the earth),” he said.
