Duterte grants medals to PSGs, soldiers injured in Marawi ambush

(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday (November 30) visited the soldiers and members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) who were hurt during an explosion during preparations ahead of his visit in Marawi City.

The 11 soldiers who were wounded were confined at the Polymedic Medical Plaza and Camp Evangelista Station Hospital in Cagayan de Oro City.

“It’s terrible. Mga tao ko pala ang natamaan,” the Chief Executive told reporters in a chance interview.

The personnel were headed to Marawi City as the presidential advance party, but their convoy was hit by a blast from an improvised exploding device (IED).

The military (AFP) confirmed that the Maute local terrorist group was behind the incident.
